These quarterly reports provide information about the political, economic, social, technological, legal and ecological environments prevailing in the 14 SADC countries. It then analyses the business implications of the information presented.

The editorial content concentrates on the concepts of flows and changes taking place during the reporting period, rather than attempting to present an encyclopaedic overview of the status quo at a point in time. Status quo, as opposed to dynamic analyses, are readily available from other sources. The closest alternative to our report that could be purchased would comprise of a set of 14 country reports, published by a leading London-based economics unit, each costing £245 (R39 445.00).

During January 2000, a trade protocol was adopted by the SADC. Estimates are that increased trade and investment flows between the member nations could boost their GDP by R20bn each.
